Everyone wants to get lean and stay lean all year long, right?

Over 2 years ago, I was the guy that did meal prep 2x per week and carried my meals around with me in a cool bag. This helped me stay on track but I have to admit...it was a pain in the ass.

If I wanted to travel at all or just not worry about meal prepping, it was very hard to stay lean because of all the shitty, unhealthy food out there. Anyone who tries to order a health option at an airport knows my pain.

What if there was a way to avoid the meal prep and not be handcuffed to the extra cardio sessions? Was there a way to live a normal life and improve your physique at the same time?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You know where this is going. Through over 2 years of trial and error, I’ve created what I think is the perfect solution. I call it The Fasting Plan. I’m incorporating different styles of fasting with the perfect combination of weight training and cardiovascular work, I’m able to stay lean year round and even add pounds of muscle to my frame. If you would have asked me this years ago, I would have called bullshit.

The plan entails periods of controlled fasting (time restricted eating) and periods where you can eat as much as you want. I don’t even classify this as a diet. It’s more of a habitual routine that has given me simple, reproducible results.

Superset for Delts:

A1: Wide grip upright rows to failure. The wider you place your grip, the more you’ll engage your delts. You can also perform this with a normal barbell.

A2: Scrape the rack press to failure. Lean towards the smith press by placing your feet further back than normal. Instead of pressing the weight straight up, vertically, push the weight up and away from your body (45 degree angle). You can perform this on a standard squat rack as well.

Hit 12-15 reps of each movement and perform 5 rounds. Starting my workouts out like this have been kicking my ass. Try this shit out and let me know what you think.

UPPER CHEST 💯

Try this dip variation next time you hit your chest workout. Angle your body forward so that you’re more parallel with the dip bars. Doing it like this is closer to the planes of bench press movement and will help you target more upper chest.

Grab a barbell and position it into a corner. You’ll need a v-bar attachment to place under the barbell for pressing.

These are perfect for blasting your upper chest at the end of your workouts. Try hitting 5 sets of 15-20.

Try these next time you hit a back workout. These will blast your lats. The band I’m using can be purchased on amazon.

Perform these at the beginning of your workout and hit 4 rounds of 9-12 reps. At the top of the movement, squeeze the contraction as hard as possible.

For even better results, I recommend hitting your workouts in a fasted state. This puts your body in a better position to use fat as a fuel source as opposed to stored glycogen. And contrary to popular opinion, I get even better pumps when I train fasted. Finally, if you take a pre-workout, you’ll notice greater affects because your digestive system can focus all its resources on breaking it down and turning it into usable energy. Try using #prekaged and you’ll notice one hell of a workout.
