It’s supposed to be that way. I’m learning more and more how to be present today 🌙 Not tomorrow, not when the crazy settles. Because it’s crazy beautiful even in the storm. Just think about the magic of lighting 💕⚡️

I came across these bracelets last year and I haven’t taken my reminders off since. You’ll see them in every gym video etc. 🙏 The reminders I chose are “believe” and “enjoy the journey” ☺️

#transformationtuesday .
A friend of mine had talked about competing in a show about “15” weeks ago. I thought about it for the first time & if it was possible in the way that I do the training & nutrition.
.
I decided to do it/found out it was only 12 weeks away. After some life, moving, & a major (collapse on the floor of my friends kitchen) flu, it was 6.5 Weeks out...
.
I talked to a few coaches I know; they told to build my shoulders, widen my Lats, create more hamstring definition, & wished me luck. I 💕 a good challenge, 2-a-days, & had done cuts for 💪 shoots before.
.
So, I began my two-a-days. Weight training & fasted cardio in the am. Cardio and/or weights in the pm a few nights a week. I became more strategic in my diet, I ate more carbs to add muscle mass as fast as I could 🙌💪
.
I wanted to do this without counting calories or
Macros and based on having a healthy relationship and understanding of food & exercise. This got more strategic as prep went on. No waist trainers, no gimmicks just intentionality.
.
2 weeks: I weighed myself for the the carb cut. I was 5’2” 135 having added size to my lats, shoulders, & Glutes. I weight so much because of my daily flexibility flows, my muscle fibers are much more dense with the weight training 😏 .
1 Week: sitting at 127 before the water cut, with lots of details to prep life simultaneously got crazier. I didn’t really think that was possible 😱🤯
.
72hrs: a “friend” gave me food poisoning, found out a former roommate was actively stealing $$, & a another “friend” hacked all of my business accounts... what?! 😓
.
I write a lot about how your head space is as important as your nutrition & exercise. So, I did what I could about those things & set them to the side. I had to keep my stress/cortisol levels down. Otherwise all the hard work would not be seen.

Tomorrow I’m competing in a show, win lose or draw it matters not. I’m showing up representing myself for myself and for others like me. ☺️🙏

Others that believe that a balance is possible. Possibilities like being both strong and graceful, being articulate and creative, being talented and steadfast... being all the things...🙌😘🤘
.
I represent women that believe that you can emphasize your beauty without actually changing who you are, that celebrating and embracing your femininity doesn’t make anti-feminist.🐱💕

You are who you are. You are beautiful. You are unique. You are brilliant. .

I find the most restful I feel is by the water (beach preferred) but I try to find “vacation time” everyday even if it’s only an hour. .
Not waiting for tomorrow, for vacation, for when I... .
Today is what I have and I’m present in my life. Smiling, laughing, and playing in between and through any ups and downs.

Perfection VS. Progression
.
Attaining perfection is impossible. (Though the word impossible is often misused.) .
However, progression is well within reach. Focus on your progress. It’s so easy to see where I’ve fallen short. It takes a little more perspective and intentionality to see where I can improve AND where I’ve made progress. I.e. I handled that so much better than I did last time, next time I can…
.
Life isn’t as much about the broad sweeping changes as much as it is about the fine tuning and small adjustments. After all, a ship could be one degree off course but over the course of a thousand miles is a thousand miles off course. I try to focus on the adjustments and the progress. Dwelling in your failures will keep you in a defeated mindset. It’s awfully hard to make progress if you already feel beaten down.
.
There are enough naysayers in life. Don’t shoot yourself down! If you wouldn’t speak to someone else that way, don’t speak to you that way. Celebrate the small victories and the big victories. You’re value is in who you are and your character and how you love. That is outside of your accomplishments. You’ll find that with a healthier mindset you’re freer to do what’s in your heart to do. Make the progression and let go of perfection. Perfect is boring and exhausting anyway.

Patience is a virtue that’s often underrated or misunderstood. ⏳
.
☺️ It simply means being able to manage well in waiting or in process.
.
In life there is always one of the two on some level. I try to remember it’s temporary and that that it’s not inactive, it’s an opportunity to grow and develop. 💕

In life I find what makes me stand out the most is accidental... I forget I don’t live life like most ☺️
.
🌙 I show up. I’m fully present. I‘m fully engaging in the moment. .
Be present in your life. Whatever you do, do it with all your heart 💕
.

Fear
.
Yesterday I realized what makes me more and more fearless is seeing the damage fear does in the lives of those around me. The ripple effects. The time lost. The life lost. 🙏😭
.
Don’t let fear keep you from living and being. You were meant to live for so much more. Don’t lose yourself to the demon of chance.
.
What if this or what if that... the actual thing itself is so much less painful that embracing that chance and that fear for the 5 seconds or 5 minutes to make it through.💪😌 .
I’d rather deal with those numbers than 5 months of indecisive or destructive behavior. I can’t afford that. Anything that’s costing me my life and my peace is entirely too expensive.
.
Having spent my days in sighs, anxiety, and flat out fear, I’ve seen how fruitless they are. The unknown isn’t unknown if you get in motion. No one is asking you to walk a thousand miles today. But you can take a step or two. That my friends adds up much faster than you know. 🤘🙌
.
And when you realize you have to take that walk anyway... well then, you wonder why you waited the 5 months to do it. After all, it wouldn’t have taken that long to Walk it. .
Consider your life. Consider the value of you, of your time, of those you surround yourself with. Show up and be brave. Embrace the moments. 💕🐱

Look fear in the face, step into it, and say I’m not afraid. .
