What if Pirog wasn't forced into retirement with a back injury? Who would you like to see him face today? #boxing #Repost #boxing @ftc_boxing with @get_repost

Throwback to 2010 when #DmitryPirog (17-0, 14 KO) knocked out @DanielJacobsTKO (20-1, 17 KO) in the 5th round with a crushing right hand. The first 4 rounds were seen as very even by most fans. But in the 5th, one nasty punch from Pirog ended the fight.
After the fight, Jacobs said Pirog gave him a lot of punches he didn't see, including the right hand, and that he didn't feel like his legs were there that night.
Unfortunately, Pirog retired early due to injury whilst lining up a fight with @GGGBoxing. He had some serious power, great movement, good defense, and utilised a lot of angles - closely resembling a #SergioMartinez than he did a stereotypical, more mechanical Russian boxer.
He retired in 2012 with an undefeated record of 20 wins, 15 by KO.
