🔺ANIMAL PROTEIN & IGF-1. Meat, eggs, dairy products, and seafood contain a lot of animal protein which stimulates our bodies to make insulin-like growth factor 1. IGF-1 has been implicated in almost all forms of tumor growth.
🔺MUTAGENIC COMPOUNDS – Carcinogenic compounds such as heterocyclic amines (HCA) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) form during the processing or cooking of meat at high temperatures and from burning of organic substances, leading to DNA damage and cancer cell formation.
🔺FEMALE HORMONES – meat & dairy contain mammalian estrogen. Estrogen has been directly implicated in common cancers like breast cancer in women. Saturated fat, largely derived from animal-based food, also leads to increased estrogen production and higher cancer rates.
🔺LACK OF FIBER AND ANTIOXIDANTS – meat contains no fiber and minimal antioxidants that are abundant in the plant kingdom. Numerous studies have shown that people who consume more fruits and vegetables have lower rates of cancer, likely due to the protective effect of fiber and antioxidants.
🔺HYDROGEN SULFIDE – Up to 12 gm of undigested animal protein can make it into your colon where it ferments, releasing hydrogen sulfide. This is not only very inflammatory but it is also a “genotoxin”, causing mutations that have been linked with ulcerative colitis and colon cancer.
🔺CHOLESTEROL – Humans make all of the cholesterol we need for our bodily functions. Dietary sources of cholesterol ONLY come from animal sources. Cholesterol has been shown to feed cancer cells in lab studies.
