We are lucky to have helped this man in the past with drums.
In the early 90’s, himself and Pantera were a new breed of tough groove that made a generation motivated to destroy stages and lounge rooms all over the world. Their Vulgar Video and their albums that continued to be timeless to today. They set a benchmark which made the next serval generations pay attention to how it’s really done if you want to play heavy.
I was lucky enough to be front row for the Far Beyond Driven tour, battling it out to hold my place on the barrier front n centre. This was my apprenticeship to the laws of the jungle - the laws of the pit. You don’t wanna get hurt? Then don’t go in there. A show I will never forget...Festival Hall, Dimebag, Vinnie, Pantera all made that day amazing. I’m really a lucky dude right? Moments.... Great moments of massive strong energy that inspired you.
I’ve met Vinnie a few times and each I’ve thought -photo or autograph?.....”nah next time, there will be a next time”. It saddens me that there won’t be. Not for the opportunity but for the god father of groove metal isn’t around anymore.
My condolences go out to Vinnie’s drum boys @hellyeah_pking @drumfelix and the family at @vinniepaul3
Cartel will never ever part with this kit or kick drums heads now. What a gift to have you used them. Vinnie Paul you were an innovator in playing and a tone, thank you.
The brothers are back together now.
Much like the Van Halen brothers thank you for what you did and I hope you guys are talking about how you’re gonna jam next week now 😜
Let’s celebrate an amazing drumming career rather than be saddened.
My feeds are full of Vinnie appreciation.....maybe take the time to tell you fav drumming influences that you appreciated them today too, it’s such a shame that Vinnie never saw all these sentiments.
Cheers to clicky kick drums and beer shaped swimming pools - Vinnie Paul we will never forget you xo.
