34 weeks! Been doing a lot of bench work lately, although my baby bump doesn't quite let me be as close at the bench as I'd like 😄 definitely will have to let jewellery-making aside, soon. It's kind of bitter-sweet: for one part, I'll miss my work and for other, I'll be 100% focussed on getting ready for baby's arrival, which my nesting instinct is constantly pulling me to do (6 weeks more, gosh I'm excited)!

Thanks to @me_and_orla for the awesome tip of holding your phone with your teeth while on timer mode, to take action pics of both hands 😂 (I totally had my phone in my mouth here, haha!). #studiospace #wearethemakers #theangryweather #studioscenes #myhandmadebiz #enthusiasticbiz

Lots of snow here! Can you see the tiny snowflake? Have a great Monday!

I was looking at photos from last summer and I had one of those moments that happen every winter where I started wondering how all that green lushness was even real and did that really happen? I'm completely lost in Winter right now, can't remember anything but snow. Not complaining! Just amazed by this weird state of mind where all warmth and green seems to be so unreal 😅

A little reminder to breath, embrace the slowing down and have patience with myself! I wish you all a great week!

I have greatly slowed down work at the bench in the last month. I thought I was going to continue making jewellery until a bit before the baby is born but I just can't. My back hurts when I'm at the bench and I just can be there for more than 15 minutes without being utterly uncomfortable. I have still a few custom pieces to finish and, if I can, I'll make a some stock of my most popular pieces but we'll see. I don't want to push myself too much right now (how did you managed to work until the end of your pregnancy, my friends?! I feel so guilty about it right now). Anyway, I still have a lot of lovely jewellery ready to ship on my Etsy shop! Like these Foliage earrings in bronze (sorry the silver ones are sold out!). So, if you've been looking at my jewellery and fancy to get something-something, maybe it's now or, well, I really don't know when I'll be back making jewellery! Once the baby is out I plan to focus entirely on family for a little while :) Thank you for your support!! #theangryweather #theangryweatherfoliage

Little studio corner full of curiosities. Mostly minerals and hands as you can see.
These days have been though, with all the awful things happening near and far. Of course, there are big gleams of light because if bad things serve a purpose, it may be the purpose to stick together and stand for what's fair, human, beautiful and so many people are moving, raising their voices, standing for those in need, inspiring others to do the same and demonstrating that goodness is bigger than hate. That gives so much hope in these dark times.
As an immigrant, I know the loneliness of being away from everything you know, your family, your home. I only think how it must feel to be so far from home because of war and persecution, searching a safe heaven where to catch a breath and live in peace. Canada has been so welcoming, so much so that I consider this MY home, my place, where I belong and the place I love with all my heart. This couldn't have been possible if not for all the awesome community and friends that have surround us and take our hands showing us what Canada is about: a beautiful, inclusive, tolerant, peaceful place where people is kind, generous, respectful, supporting. That's what makes this country such a WONDERFUL place. So when news about the shooting at a mosque in QC city came out, it felt like a punch in the gut. All the suffering of these families that have lost a father, a brother, a husband, a son, and for what? What does this leave us as humans? Our planet is but a speckle of dust in a never ending universe. We are here together and our life last just a moment, it's so awful to waste it hating each other for what we believe in, our skin colour, the place where we were born or our preferences. We are better than that. We are all humans and we are all in this together.

Somedays are easier than others...
