Granted my leverages have changed a good deal and I've taken a four month hiatus from front squat, I would say these felt and looked rather smooth. About two months ago, I watched a podcast with @revivestronger and Martin MacDonald (not sure of his IG but please tag him Steve) about dieting as aggressively as possible without losing muscle mass. I was of course skeptical at first because of the pervasive dieting strategy of going very slow to preserve lean body mass. Butttttt, I'm someone that is down to try anything if it sounds physiologically sound and backed by data (this strategy definitely checks both boxes). The premise was as follows:
1. Set your calories to maintenance or just below maintenance (about 2900 for me)
2. Make sure your protein intake is higher end (~300g per day for me)
3. Maintain relatively high training intensity and high training volumes to continue supplying an anabolic stimulus (swipe left for how I get that done)

So, how did it work? Un-freaking-believably! I completely transformed my physique and my strength levels have only suffered slightly. I am very much looking forward to my next aggressive "digging" phase after next week.
