Plain Tea Biscuits

Ingredients:

100g butter

1/3 cup oil

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/4 tsp almond essence

1/4 cup maizena

1 1/4 cup flour

Method:

Pre heat oven on 170 degrees. Lightly grease two baking trays and set aside.

Beat butter, oil and sugar till pale and fluffy.

Add in vanilla and almond essence and beat well.

Beat in maizena and fold in flour to make a soft dough.
Roll in to a log and slice. Place on baking tray and bake for 15 minutes or till light brown in colour. Enjoy.

Can add about 1/3 cup of chopped almond or pecans.

3 cup white flour....1/2 cup oil.... Salt... Jeeru... Seasame seeds... Crushed chilly(opt)... Turmuric....
Mix all n make hard dough with water then make small balls n roll n fry until being crispy....

INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup pasta
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheese

METHOD:
1. Boil mac until done.
2. Drain out water.
3. Add milk and cheese, and stir well until the cheese melts.

Rich buttercake

250g butter
1 1/2 cup castor sugar
2 tblsp oil
Vanilla essence
*beat on high speed till white & fluffy (scrape the bowl occasionally so it's all mixed well)*
Then add in 4 eggs (one at a time)

3 cups flour
4 level tsp baking powder *sieve both the dry ingredients 3 times*
1 1/4 cup milk

Add the milk and flour alternatively ending with the flour
Mix well till no flour lumps are seen

Pour the cake batter into 2 greased 9" round pans & bake until the tester comes out clean & golden brown
Remove the cakes from the pan & transfer onto a cooling rack to cool completely
Sandwich the cakes with buttering & decorate as desired
Butterceam
250g butter (hard)
1 tsp vanilla essence
*beat the butter & icingsl sugar till pale,stirring the bowl occasionally with a spatula*
500g sifted icing sugar
2 tblsp cold milk
*beat again on high speed till smooth*
Add gel colours if desired
Enjoy!

Mango atchaar (sorry no measurements )

Wash and cut green mangoes into cubes. Add rough salt and leave overnight.

Drain excess water from mangoes.
Make a paste with vinegar, maizena, sugar and salt (to taste ). Stir on medium heat until there is a gloss. Add to mangoes. Also add atchaar masala to the mango mixture.

Roasted spatchcock chicken and hasselback sweet potatoes

Marinate one whole chicken with:
2 tbsp yoghurt
1 tsp ginger garlic
1 tbsp red chilli paste
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp lemon pepper
2 tsp tandoori masala
1 tsp robertsons chicken spice
Juice of half a lemon
Salt to taste
Cook on low in a thick based pot. Once cooked, transfer to baking tray. Cook down pan juices and add 1 tbsp mayo, 2 tbsp nandos sauce of choice. Pour over chicken and grill.
Hasselback sweet potatoes
Slit sweet potatoes and boil in salted water. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and oregano and grill with chicken. Garnish with spring onion and fresh parsley ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thai Crunch Salad (ayesha randeree)

Finely shredded lettuce
mint leaves

Coriander leaves

Handful bean sprouts

Cucumber jullienne

Carrots jullienne

Radish thinly sliced
Red cabbage shredded

Red pepper
Toasted cashew nuts
Sesame seeds toasted

Mix together salad ingredients
Pour dressing just before serving

Toss well

Place into serving platter

Garnish with toasted cashews and sesame seeds

Thai Dressing

1/2 cup veg oil

3 Tblsp vinegar

1 tsp grated ginger

3 tsp sesame oil

3 tsp soya sauce

Pinch chilli flakes

Dash of honey

Blitz dressing ingredients

500 g woolies butter
3/4 cup castor sugar
3/4 cup icing sugar
11/2 cups mazeina
2 cups chopped almonds with skin on
Flour according to dough plus โ€”- minus 3 cups
Method
Cream butter and sugar
Till white
Add mazeina and cream den add badaams and flour to make a soft dough cut sheets of foil
Divide dough into 4 parts place on foil and pat into long logs fold foil around the dough and freeze when ready to bake thaw slice and bake on 160 deg for 15/ 20 mins till light pink enjoy with a cup of tea โ˜•Yasmin Tar

Banana loaf

3/4 Cup Castor Sugar
1 egg
1 tsp Vanilla Essence 1 & 1/2 Cup Self Raising Flour 2 Ripe Banana - (mashed)
Half Cup Milk
METHOD:
In a pot melt butter & sugar on the stove on low heat ,when melted, mix with the mashed bananas in a dish.
Then add egg & beat mixture, add vanilla , add self raising flour & mix until smooth.
Lastly add milk to batter & pour batter in greased baking loaf tin & bake @ 170ยฐC
Optional: 1 slab grated choc to batter

2 heaped tbls cocoa
3 to 4 cps flour
Method
1. Cream the butter and sugar well.
2. Add the oil , maziena and essence andย  mix well.
3. Add the sifted cocoa and flour and form into a soft dough .
(Donot add all the flour at once)
4. Shape and bake at 160 for 15 to 20 minutes.
5. When cold spread melted chocolate over and grated mint crisp chocolate

1 tsp elachi powder
1 1/2 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup oil & 1/2 cup cold water(mix together)
Beat eggs & sugar till fluffy.Add in the dry ingredients alternating with the oil mixture.Bake at 180deg for about 15-20 min

125g butter
1 1/2 cup icing sugar
Beat till fluffy then add
1/2 cup Klim
2 tbs milk
1/2 tsp elachi powder
1 tbs rose water
