Today is my father's birthday. As I'm sending his "gift" to @thestrokeassociation in his memory, I've been reminiscing about the past couple of months and the neat little quirks of life that present themselves if you're paying attention.
For as long as I could remember my dad had a matchbox toy-sized Alfa Romeo tipo 158 on his dresser (it was the one car I couldn't play with, but I did). When we buried him, that was one of the items that I sent with him. •
Fast forward a few years and this moment really cemented what the power of photography is for me. While the real 158 is beautiful on it's own; these simple snapshots are of so much more than just the glossy red metal in front of me. Happy birthday, Dad.
