Making my Wednesday a little magical with this dreamy purple smoothie bowl😌💫💜

For the dark layer:
1/2 frozen banana
A handful of frozen strawberries
A handful of frozen blueberries

For the pale layer:
1 frozen banana
A large handful of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1/4 cup oats
2 tsp maca powder
Pinch of cinnamon
Plant milk

Blend both layers separately in the @vitamix. Pour into a bowl and swirl. Top with more fruits, a dollop of cashew butter, and shredded coconut. Enjoy the magic!🌟 *

Who else had a very unproductive day?🙋🏼‍♀️Today was one of those days, where it feels like nothing gets accomplished at all. I used to beat myself up and feel like a failure when that happened. Nowadays, I'm learning to be a lot more gentle on myself, as I know that days like these will always come and go, and that they're part of the game. It's okay to not be superwoman all the time. It's okay to stay in bed an extra hour. It’s okay to let the dishes in the sink. It's okay to check one thing off your to-do list and leave the 19 remaining for tomorrow. It’s okay to give yourself a break.

One of the very few things I did accomplish today was making myself this sandwich, and it was pretty damn good. Toasted Mtl bagel with grilled tamari tofu, grilled zucchini, tomato, spinach, basil from my garden, pesto and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast. Let's celebrate our little wins instead of beating ourselves up, shall we?💛

We so easily get caught up into the moment and feel overwhelmed or defeated by what life throws at us, that we often forget to see the bigger picture.💫When things don't go our way, it's helpful to take a few steps back and understand that what might seem like a problem or failure right now is actually bringing us closer to where we're supposed to go. Everything is in perfect order. Every little step in our journey has its very own purpose. This has been my mantra this week. I trust that letting go of the plan that we've created for ourselves actually opens up to the much bigger, much more wonderful plan; the one the universe has traced for us.🌟

hi! I'm Sophie.👋🏻I'm rarely on this side of the camera but I thought I'd say hi and officially introduce myself. So here it goes😌I like eating nut butter straight from the jar and I’m addicted to dark chocolate. I‘ll choose coffee over matcha 99% of the time. Sweets are my favourite thing to eat (and make), and I sometimes joke that The Green Life could become a bakery. I'm a Leo sun and Libra rising. I'm the type of person who has 13 089 emails in her inbox😳(please don't judge). I'm always late, I can't help it. I always forget to water my plants. I can't eat a full banana (it's too much for me, lol) so I always cut it and leave the other half for later. I have an identical twin - I currently live and work with her and she's one of the most inspiring humans I know (she writes beautiful things too👉🏻 @nancy.bourdon). Our older sister @soniabourdonphotographe is a wedding photographer and superstar mom. If I have kids one day, I’d be proud to be half the mom that she is with hers. French is my first language but I secretly prefer writing in English. I studied visual arts in college and wanted to be a painter. I used to hate so many foods as a kid (brussel sprouts, mushrooms, asparagus, avocado, onions, name it!), but today there's not one single food I don't like. I smoked cigarette from the age of 12 to the age of 16 (I quit on January 1st, 2000). I'm a cat lady, my two little furballs are the men of my life and they bring me so much joy daily. I haven't always been into health and wellness, I have a past of hardcore partying. I believe our past experiences, mistakes and falldowns are all part of the bigger picture and they shape who we are becoming. As messy as my past may be, it made me who I am today and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I believe wellness is a never-ending journey and I accept where I am at this very moment, knowing that everything is constantly changing. I'm a perfectly imperfect human trying her best at this thing we call life. And I'm so grateful that you're here (and that you've made it this far!). I'd really love to know more about you too!
