Thank you everyone for tuning into today! I hope that you enjoyed what I posted. Im gearing up for the next two biggest marathons in @bostonmarathon and @londonmarathon. If want to know a little more about my life I did write a book that came out last year. It's called #YaSama which in Russian means I can do it, and I can do it myself. It's sold on amazon. All you have to do is search my name or Ya Sama. good bye 👋🏼 and goodnight 💕😊
More fun facts: I also have a puppy named Bentley ❤️I'm not really sure if he likes the new sweater that I got him......do you see the side eye roll 🙄?!?!?
Our indoor training area. As we are gearing up for the marathons @bostonmarathon and @londonmarathon sometimes training takes us inside. Especially living in Illinois where the weather can be crazy. Who's running a marathon this year? How is training going? Did you have any set backs?
Fun Fact During the Rio @paralympics it was the first time ever that #teamusa did a sweep not just once but twice in the 1500m and the 5000m ❤️💙❤️💙#McSweep
My beautiful family. My sisters and I were all adopted. @hannah_mcfadd is also a @usparalympics athlete and she competed in the London and Rio Games and was adopted at age three from Albania 🇦🇱. Ruthi is the youngest and does amazing work for Appalachia Service Project, and she was adopted at age 9 from Albania 🇦🇱. I love my family so much and I wouldn't know what to do with out them. They are the foundation of everything I do ❤️️❤️️
I train with the @university_of_illinois@illiniathletics since 2008. I was an undergraduate studying Child Life and now I'm getting a Masters 😊I love being a student and athlete because I feel that both are equally important. We train twice a day everyday but Sunday. On Saturday's it's usually our longer pushes around 20miles or so. Recently our wheelchair racing program became the US training center which allows not only us to have equipment to train but athletes from around the world can come and train here too. There is nothing like it in the world and my sponsor @bp_plc made that possible.
Hello everyone!!!! I'm so excited to be taking over #teamusa instagram. @lauriehernandez_ And @mstockwell01 you guys did a great job taking over. My name is Tatyana McFadden and I'm a 17 Paralympic medalist (7gold) and 16 @wmmajors victories (Boston, London, Chicago, and New York) you can stay I love sports. How I got here....I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia with spina bifida. I was adopted at age 6 by a beautiful and wonderful American family. Started school and sports(local sports club in Baltimore called Bennett Blazers). I competed in my first games by the time I was 15 and became a US citizen then so I could compete for Team USA. But it doesn't mean I will forget where I was from or the family I have there. I've been to 5 games and started marathoning in 2009.
For the past few years, I've had the privilege of flying around the world to places like Japan, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, and many other AMAZING places to compete for gymnastics! What is the best place you have ever flown to?✈️
Morning!! My name is Laurie Hernandez and I was a gymnast at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games! My team and I won a gold medal in Team Finals, and I won an individual silver medal on the balance beam. I won Season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, and was on the Kelloggs Gymnastics Tour. I definitely travel a lot, and as you can see in this picture I'm in a hotel! What is your favorite family hotel memory?
