Decolonizing Hurricane Relief
Sunday, Dec. 3rd. 5 pm

Join us in supporting recovery efforts post Hurricane Irma and Maria WHILE engaging in dialogue around the conditions of colonialism on the islands of Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. Because of lack of information and reporting on the islands it is easy to feel overwhelmed and confused about what is happening, what factors are contributing to the instability of the islands, and it's capacity to recover from these disasters. We will share information, talk with people who have worked on the ground, and discuss efforts and actions to support.
Aimee Montoya, Founder of Vive Borikén, a grassroots unity movement in Puerto Rico. Their mission is to unite Puerto Ricans worldwide for the cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of our motherland: Borikén (Puerto Rico). Monique Ferrell
