Picture this 😀. It’s the weekend and you’ve had a long week, but your friends ask you to go out so it’s all good 🙌🏻🙌🏻

You get to the restaurant but remember your trainer gave you specific foods you could eat and that’s it. Grudgingly you order the “healthy stuff” because your goals are super important 💪🏻
.
You’re doing well but when the food comes out you’re sad 😢. Your friends are eating steak 🥩 sushi 🍣 and have mimosas 🥂 on the side. Meanwhile you’re eating a delicious salad 🥗 (yummm!!! 😉)
.
You leave the restaurant feeling somewhat annoyed because it felt like more of a chore to be there than just stay home. You couldn’t participate so you’re wondering if you should even go out in the future or if this “diet” stuff is even worth doing. Wouldn’t it be better to just be unhealthy if you were happier? Does this sound familiar?
.
Until you learn how to be able to go out and enjoy life WITHOUT giving up things you love, than you’ll never be happy. Willpower and eating grass 😂😉 for life might make you ripped, but it will also make you miserable.
.
You don’t have to choose between the two you just have to have the knowledge to apply correct principles.
.
When i go out i eat what i want because i know how to incorporate my favorites without hindering my progress. I like cake, ice cream 🍦 and wine 🍷. Just ask anyone I’ve taken on a date 😂
.
Stop sacrificing your happiness for a six pack. Instead have both. Will it take some effort to learn and apply? Sure it will, but long term feeling good, looking good, and not missing out on life will make you more content than anything else.

LOVE ❤️❤️ YOURSELF UNCONDITIONALLY

One of the hardest things in life is sometimes feeling alone. Not having someone there to have your back or talk through your feelings.
.
I love ❤️ my dog 🐶. She loves me unconditionally no matter what. She can be my one source of comfort when things are going wrong or I’m having a rough day.
.
As you’re going through your fitness journey it is so important to love yourself EVEN if you’re not exactly where you want to be yet.
.
Changing your body physically will help change your mindset as well. You’ll learn to love yourself unconditionally and you’ll be happier.

Today’s world is becoming more “politically correct” by the second. We have to watch how we phrase or even write things for fear of offending someone or hurting their feelings.
.
Why is it so bad to call things how they are? If you truly want something than why don’t you have it? (Sit down and think about this, seriously).
.
Is it really so crazy to think things are completely in our control? Go back two years i had less than $2000 in my bank account and had been trying at business for two years. Literally broke AF and so distraught I was considering going back to school to finish my engineering degree.
.
Couldn’t take a girl on a date or do anything besides pay rent for fear of running out of money for the month. .
I was doing any job i could find to keep afloat and reading and learning anything about marketing and business I could find. I mean it had to pay off eventually right?
.
I won’t go into a long story, but today I have a profitable business and get to live life on my own terms. I get paid to help
people doing what i LOVE ❤️ to do. I think looking back my WHY is what pushed me so hard.
.
All I’ve ever wanted was to be someone, help people, and take care of my family. My biggest fear is being on my death bed 🛏 and knowing I didn’t give it my all. That I settled for being a “loser.”
.
Harsh as that sounds that’s how I think. I want more than average and I want to impact people’s lives on massive scale 🙌🏻🌎
.
The internet has changed everything. You can do anything or learn anything at the click of a button. By NOT going for your goals, you are deciding not to take advantage of the greatest asset of our time.
.
I’m asking you to stop living in fear and just go for your goals. Hire that coach, kiss that girl, get that job. We all will die one day and the worst thing I’ve heard you can have is regret. Don’t regret and don’t make excuses. Just do.
.
Try to take this in the right context. Being politically correct is great but it usually doesn’t help anyone either. Do something, be someone, go for it.

I used to think abs were everything 🙌🏻
.
I thought being ripped was the key to success and that it would solve all my problems 😮
.
I’d do photo shoot after photo shoot and restrict pretty much everything to stay single digit body fat year round 😓
.
But then I realized i was missing out on life and ruining relationships all for the sake of abs.
.
Can you truly eat anything you want and still get results? YES you can 👌🏻
.
BUTTTT the more extreme the results you want the more extreme the measures 😓😓
.
You’ll have to decide if the juice is truly worth the squeeze 🍋
.
Find the balance between how you want to look and what you’re actually willing to give up. If you’re not willing to do what it takes to be 5% body fat than don’t set that as a goal 🥅 .
Find the median where you are satisfied with how you look AND you will maintain a high quality of life. When we die no one will ask if we had a six pack or not and we probably won’t care either.

What we will care about is the relationships and experiences we had. Find your balance 🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻

If you had told me a few years ago i would make a full time living meeting cool and amazing people and getting PAID 💰 for it...I wouldn’t of believed you 🙈

This weekend i went to a spartan race in Jacksonville Florida with this dude @peterd41. I train 99% of my clients online but Peter is one I see in person. .
He’s to humble to talk about himself, but he’s a super successful CEO and a good dude. He gives a lot, helps a lot of people, and can take care of his family at a high level.
.
People talk about 💰💰💰 like it’s evil, but the truth is most of the financially successful people I’ve met are some of the most genuine and caring people out there.
.
I love ❤️ my life and I love the fact it’s allowing me to make more than any 9-5 ever would. NOW 🛑🛑🛑 I’m not hating on anyone’s job or anyone who has a 9-5.
.
Everyone is different with different goals and desires BUT for me being able to help people and provide nice things for my loved 🙌🏻❤️ ones is very important to me.
.
Your dreams and goals are achievable. Sometimes I’m so consumed with progress that I forget to stop and enjoy the progress I’ve made so far.
.
Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone else doing it to make others believe they can do it.
.
I’m a testament you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. It’s not always roses 🌹 and daisies, but things always work out if you’re willing to work for it.

I don’t restrict. I don’t hate my life. I don’t work out for hours on end. I don’t give up foods i love ❤️(ask girls I’ve taken on dates 😂😂).

All I’ve done is learn the actual science of nutrition and training and simply applied it 🙌🏻👍🏻👌🏻

My physique is sub par to most of the top models on earth, but I’ve maximized what i got. It wasn’t guesswork, just calculated moves. Much like a game of chess, building the body you want is the same. It’s all understanding what works and what doesn’t.

You can try as hard as you want, but unless you understand the principles and science behind it all. You’ll never be able to get to where you want to go.

This cat 🐱 (my friend and client @bigtuna_cu) just stepped on stage AFTER maintaining his physique for OVER two years!
.
How many people do you see lose weight and then simply gain it all back over and over and over again? Probably about 90%+ of the population, am i right?
.
It’s not about restriction or making yourself miserable. It’s about KNOWLEDGE. Most of you have been given some boring ass diet or training protocol and than pray to the heavens it works (good luck maintaining that forever 👍🏻).
.
Why? Well...
.
It’s probably a culmination of...
.
1. Shitty and lazy trainer. You realize you can get certified in 3 days on a weekend right? That’s the same thing as getting a drivers license. Doesn’t make you special, no offense 🙀
.
2. They’ve told you what to do without any scientific reasoning behind it. I’ve heard the most outlandish reasons for why a trainer prescribed something to their client. If the shit sounds complicated then it’s probably not true 👍🏻
.
3. You’ve searched google high and low for the “golden egg” and never found it. Every article contradicts the last just leaving you more confused than ever before. Trust me I’ve been there 🙅🏻‍♂️
.
So what should you do?
.

It’s not funny to joke about depression or hardships so rest assured this isn’t a joke.

Over the last few years I’ve had some heart wrenching break ups with girlfriends or girls i was on the brink of dating (i take dating as a more serious step then most). For whatever reason they hit me harder then most people (or i just handle it worse).
.
I live care free and realize most people won’t like you or don’t care, and that’s fine. But the ones close to me i care a lot about what they say, a whole lot. Maybe even more then i should. I don’t know if you can relate?
.
My loyalty is one of my greatest strengths, but it hurts when someone close to you betrays it or you feel like it didn’t matter to them.

Most of you may of heard of my story as a young kid who was made fun of ruthlessly...and there was only one girl who was nice to me. Well this is her @ericawilkins_
.
After i get over my awkward stage and became a little “more popular” i never forgot who she was the only one nice to me when i was a loser. And we’ve been friends ever since.
.
Then a few years back after a 3 year breakup i was in a dark place. I scared a few people in my family and her by taking about suicide and things you just shouldn’t talk about.
.
I cringe even typing this out now because I’m embarrassed i would even stoop so low or think about something like that. But i think it’s a good lesson to hear.
.
Life is never so bad that you or i should ever consider that. Not to mention i live in the USA 🇺🇸 and am very blessed.
.
Some of you whether it’s fitness or your life may have been in a dark place relatable to what I’ve described and you’re not sure how to get out of it. Or you just think why go on when you feel so dang low.
.
Just remember that bad things don’t last forever and if something bad happens sometimes it can be a blessing in disguise, because it leads you into a new place you never would’ve gone otherwise.
.
No matter how bad it gets, never ever give up, or give in.
.
If this girl hadn’t stepped in i wouldn’t have my own business, be able
Yo travel wherever, or be helping the hundreds of clients I have today.

I hate when people say to show “I’m real” lol so i won’t say that. But just wanna divulge more of the side of things most people don’t see.

It’s easy to post a squat set you destroy, but who ever posts sets you don’t? 🤔

Straight up was struggling to lift this as you can tell. Definitely room for improvement.

Know it’s ok to be starting “behind” others or to not feel adequate. There’s days i feel inadequate in my business and in my fitness.
-
Sometimes I’ll look in the mirror and say “dang dude this is all you gotta show for hours and hours in the gym?”
-
Or i see the financial sheets of someone else’s business and think 🤔 “dang tanner, why don’t you make a hell of a lot more yet.”
-
My biggest weakness is my biggest strength. I am so damn hard on myself. Maybe you can relate?

Idk why but from a young age I’ve just craved greatness. Greatness can be different for everyone.

For me it’s leaving a legacy. Leaving something i can be proud of. Having people who actually had their lives changed and impacted from something I’ve done.
-
There can be days you can feel stuck in the mud or straight up like a loser, BUT action is the only way forward.
-
No matter what happens or how bad i feel i always ignore my emotions. Emotions are fleeting and lie to us.
-
Sadness, anger, disappointment are just a few of those fleeting feelings.
-
Know your mission and know it takes to get there and don’t let anyone stop you 🙌🏻

What’s something you want to improve on? ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Raise your hand if you have stretch marks 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

While these may be annoying they are completely NORMAL. Nothing is wrong with you and you don’t need to worry or stress.
-
In fact i have stretch marks from all the lifting I’ve done under my armpits and in my thighs (can’t show ya that 😬)
-
They stem from three things -
1. Lifting weights and stretching the skin
2. Getting overweight and stretching the skin
3. Pregnancy 🤰
-
In all scenarios you can help reverse them by getting smaller and leaning out OR they will fade over time.

On social media we always try to display our lives as perfect but that’s not reality. Sometimes we’re not always perfect and neither are our bodies. -
Know that it’s ok to have these and nothing is wrong with you.
-
Sometimes it’s just good to know someone else out there can relate to you 🙌🏻

Getting abs is nothing more then a focus on your nutrition.
-
Ab exercises will help build up the thickness of your abs and make them visible at a lower body fat.
-
But nutrition is #1 when it comes to having great looking abs
-
This doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself or never eat good food 🥘 again.
-
But it does mean you have to have a clear understanding of how nutrition works so you can enjoy life but still get the abs you crave.
