Another fresh one...'Curriculum of the Heart,' 2017. Glazed porcelain.

Today I had the pleasure of collaborating with @antonia_diagram as part of her on-going 'Subject/Object' project of conversations. Here is our conversation in plasticine γ€°βšͺοΈβž°πŸ’¬

Another puzzle out of the kiln...

Every day I walk past this little bluestone shed that was built by unemployed workers during the Great Depression in 1931, paid for by local government. I wonder why the city of Melbourne can't start some initiative to build more public housing for the growing population of homeless people in our supposedly 'liveable city'? Surely there is a way. #whenmerricreeklookslikeapainting

I get really excited when I find women like this in art history- tonight's find; Esphyr Slobodkina.
From the back sleeve of one of her books I found at the Op Shop today from 1968 called Caps for Sale; 'A talented painter, sculptor, designer, writer-illustrator of children's books, teacher, and amateur architect. A vivacious and amusing lecturer, she also has appeared on radio and television programs.
A founding member of the American Abstract Artists and the Federation of Modern Painters and Sculptors, Miss Slobodkina has had a number of exhibitions of her work. Her paintings are in the permanent collections of The Corcoran Gallery, The Whitney, the Philadelphia Art Museum, New York University and many others.'
She lived from 1908 – 2002.

The unstoppable Ambassador @eugeniuslim in The People's Factory at Federation Square. I'd be happy to work for her any day πŸ˜‰β€οΈ
