O.Z. TYLER DISTILLERY - A traditional bourbon distillery disguised as a science fiction laboratory is what this is! Since 1885 there's been traditional bourbon being distilled here. Except for a few inconvenient periods in history, namely #prohibition and the untimely rise of #vodka in the early 80s, there's always been some good juice being distilled here. Ezra Brooks originated from this place. Mellow corn originated from this place. The Medley brothers and Wathens originated from this place!
And now after 25 years of laying dormant, a new whiskey emerges like a bat out of hell.
Orville Zelotus Tyler III (O.Z. Tyler) was a man that you've probably never heard of but I bet you know some of his work.
A lifelong inventor, O.Z. discovered how to eliminate the metallic taste of soft drinks stored in cans resulting in a patented coating used in the manufacturing process. O.Z. perfected indoor-outdoor carpeting, washable wallpaper, and outdoor latex paint and most importantly,
he patented a process called #Terrepure, a combination of filtration and oxidation that uses ultrasonic energy to purify distillate or simply the process of rapidly aging spirits. In 2012, an article was dedicated to the innovative process in Popular Science magazine (@popsci). Boom.
4 months in a Bourbon barrel and then 10 hours in a "Rosie". That's the beloved name they gave to these hyper-aging devices. They look a bit like #Bender from #Futurama except replace his legs with four wheels and strap some oak staves in there. They both are full of booze, futuristic and have shiny metal asses. The bottom line is that this whiskey is delicious and you're going to see a lot of their products on the market very soon in a liquor store near you. They're making a fantastic #rye, a knock out #bourbon and an absolutely delicious bourbon #honey utilizing bees that they've cultured on the distillery premises! That's rad. #kentucky #dji #love #spiritguide #Fry #Leela #Zoidberg #professor #Amy #Hermes #Zap #Nibbler #whiskey
