Today marks the 45th anniversary of the landmark supreme court decision in the case of Roe v. Wade.
Roe v. Wade recognized that a constitutional right to privacy extends to a woman's right to make her own personal medical decisions -- including the decision to have an abortion -- without interference from positions.
And in 2018, the Supreme Court will rule on challenges to Roe v. Wade that could strip women of the right to safe and legal abortion. This is part of a broader effort to chip away at the protections in Roe and ultimately ban abortion nationwide. 💔
I am so proud to be in Sacramento today speaking at the CAN YOU HEAR ME? rally. It's an opportunity to raise the voices of Planned Parenthood patients and supporters everywhere and make sure our lawmakers hear us. Planned Parenthood hears patients and communities our health care centers serve -- and i'm here to amplify and uplift those voices.
Wear pink today and tweet/FB a selfie to your state legislators, calling on them to #StandWithPP if the federal govt won’t -- as I do it in person in Sacramento! #PPHearsYou #TimesUp #ZoeyDeutch #PlannedParenthood
