A day in my shoes. 👟 How to Make Nocino!
Nothin' like getting your shoes a little dirty in the vineyard!
It's a little early for grape harvesting, so today I was climbing ladders and picking green walnuts in my friend Donna's backyard...which happens to be a pretty awesome vineyard in #sthelena 🍇 It was all in the name of Nocino - an Italian walnut liqueur that requires immature green walnuts that haven't quite formed inside the shell. Once harvested we halved them, added vodka, everclear, wine, sugar and spices and covered to macerate for about 3 months! It's a fun tradition, especially if you happen to have a walnut tree close by, ready just in time for the holidays! See my whole day unfold on my IG story and watch how it's done - have you ever done any home liqueurs?!
