If you want to improve your bench press, especially if you want to increase the bottom end power of your bench start including these "DEAD BENCHES" to your routine. Eliminating the stretch reflex as you would doing a normal bench press your muscles have to produce more force at the beginning of the movement. This not only strengthens the muscles themselves, but will increase their capacity to be recruited in the stretched position.
