Day 67 of #100happydays completed my mindfulness course today. Quite honestly its the best thing I've ever done. It's given me a new perspective on life, an appreciation for the little things & the confidence boost I needed. Meditation is wonderful for anxiety #zenways#meditationrules
'Master Kyogan said: Suppose a (wo)man were up a tree. (S)He holds on to a branch with his(her) teeth. (S)He can grasp no branch with his(her) feet and cannot reach the trunk of the tree. Beneath the tree is someone who asks, "What is the meaning of the Bodhidarma coming from the west?" If the (wo)man does not respond (s)he will fail the questioner's need. If (s)he does answer (s)he will fall to his(her) death. In this situation how should one respond?.' Quoted in Practical Zen by Julian Daizan Skinner
