I am looking at this for the 5th time and still I can't help but shed a tear. What kind heart this young champ has and more. Miguel "La Maquinita" is 11 yrs old and has not lost a fight in 2years. He won the gold medal last year and he chose to give this to me as a thank you gift/parting gift. I had no words. Looking at him speak to me with all the courage he could made me feel so close to him... to know he took a liking to me since I arrived has been the most beautiful thing, but also sad because he has no mom... He has been silly and outgoing with the boys but quiet at the same time, but always a leader. Everyone including the older boxers looks up to him. He is the only one that runs 100% of the time at 4am in the morning. He will be a world champ one day trust me!
All I could do is hug him when he was lost for words when telling me thank you for the gifts and some drills I showed him. He hugged me so hard and I can feel him today and hope he knows I will always be one of his biggest supporters.
His mother abandoned his father and him at 6/7 years old and I must say his father and Coach Ticay have did a superb job raising him to be a gentleman and a champ! This video that was captured means a lot to me! I hope you all enjoy and feel the love.
