Everybody asking, “did you really cut your hair by accident?” Girl YES!! Lol. #WhatHadHappenedWas: I was taking out my crochet style, right before the @jackandahlia book signing. Moving too fast and stressing out, what I thought was fake hair, ended up being the tail-end of a cornrow that connected to the FRONT Of my hair. I cut 3 inches of a cornrow leaving my hair wildly uneven. • SHOUT OUT to @netasnaturalhaircare for fitting me in last week. The whole team is amazing! And they won’t snatch your edges! • Before my braids were installed, I cut the rest of my hair to an even-ish length. Basically, y’all, I had to BIG CHOP. This is my third big chop in my #naturalhairjourney. Honestly, my long hair wasn’t very healthy. Last year was SUPER stressful and my hair caught a lot of that stress. I’m happy to say I’m in a much better place these days and I’m excited to grow a new head of strong & healthy 4b curls! • So, expect to see braids for a while as I grow my hair back. I’m already massaging my scalp with oils, taking my vitamins, and praying to my #SierraLeone ancestors to bless my coils. • Maybe this will get me to restart @naturalinnash again? Hmmm, we’ll see!
