PLEASE READ 👇👇👇 I received a comment the other day from a guy who said “this is why men have trust issues..” (👏 bravo, I’m very impressed with the originality on that one 🙄) and he proceeded to say something along the lines of how anyone who kissed me would end up looking like a clown (I am assuming he was referring to the makeup that would transfer to this hypothetical person’s face) so I of course, laughed and then proceeded to film this video.
But on a more serious note…I literally NEVER used to leave my house without makeup. If I was spending the night at my friends’ houses, I would sleep in it, if I had to run to the grocery store, I would spend an hour getting ready before hand. But the more I played with makeup, the more my perceptions of myself changed. I began to see makeup as a creative outlet; a way to express myself and to enhance my natural beauty rather than a way to hide it. You probably wouldn’t guess by the theme of my page, but I spend at least 75% of my time with no makeup on at all.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE makeup. But I use it because I find joy in applying it, not because I think I need it. As cliche as it sounds, the people who belong in your life, are the one’s that will love you for what is on the inside. I hope that if you don’t already, that you will learn to love both versions of yourself (the beat version and the natural one) and to wear makeup for YOU, not for anyone else.
I’d love it if you shared your stories/journeys with confidence, makeup, etc. in the comments below! I will do my best to respond to as many of you as I can. 💕❤️ #maccosmetics prolongwear waterproof foundation and strobe cream in pinklite
