On the mat is where I found you, even though you were always there for me. You are the one who helps me get out of bed in the morning, you keep me calm and focused during the day, and at night you chase away the intrusive thoughts and give me the sleep my body needs. The strength you give me has gotten me through heartaches and despair. How come I didn't befriend you earlier? You give me such energy, and truly uplift my spirit. Thank you for making me find my own power. With you I can feel all my feelings and sort through my thoughts. You infiltrate my body, my muscles, and every cell in my being. When we sit down together I can feel you in my chest, in my stomach, in my toes, fingertips, and the top of my head. You go everywhere to soothe me. And still, I sometimes forget about you. But when I remember, you give me all the strength I need. Thank you from the bottom of my lungs, my breath.
