Day 1 of #mindfulmomsmovement is balance. Our son is only 14 months old so in terms of teaching him balance, it has to do with balancing playtime and napping, eating balanced meals, and developing balance in his motor skills. As he grows older we as parents have to lead by example. To find perfect balance isn't possible since everything always changes, but we can do our very best by showing good work ethics as well as spending time being silly and having fun. I try to spend time outdoors with our son everyday, weather permitting, and we haven't given him screen time yet since it's not recommended until 2 years of age. I don't want there to be guilt associated with eating sweets, rather if you eat healthy most of the time, a special treat is something to genuinely enjoy. For now he gets to balance on his little horse. :) Awesome hosts: @texasyogamama@ktbabieyogini@annelimjoen@swedemamma@carrot_bowl_bonnie Cool sponsors: @runandrelax@buddha_pants@inmotionessentials@iamareminder@yogaclubbox@kidartlit@mamamalas
"Perhaps the meaning of life is simply to give life MEANING." 🙌 I just love this quote and I really try and apply this to my Yoga practice. To be honest, these days there isn't a lot of opportunity for long meditations or working on fancy poses. (Isla has other plans for me!) But instead of getting frustrated I choose to see this interaction as the most pure practice of Yoga I could possibly have. Instead of closing my eyes and breathing deeply to 'get in the moment' I now just try and be as present as possible with Isla and include her completely in my practice. Yoga is all about 'stilling the fluctuations of the mind' to connect to the your highest self. Perhaps that is found is complete stillness in lotus pose or perhaps that is found upside down while a toddler blows a raspberry on your stomach. 😘 Wherever it is, whatever it looks like and whoever it is with... it's all Yoga. 🙏 #namasplay
"The highest point of yesterday, should be the lowest point of today." - B.K.S. Lyengar ... Woke up at 3am...prepared breakfast for hubby...load laundry...clean the room...throw garbage...at 5am honeyloves woke-up and my little boss starts to take charge.😅 We go up and down stairs for more than 3x already so can you imagine how many times in a day?💪😅 Then i ask her if we can stop running around and do yoga and gladly she said yes. ATM we are outside in front of the house, in lola's mini garden, im watching her pick flowers and chasing butterflies.🌸 I had stressful encounters with some people earlier...at my age i badly need to stretch my patience! So after de-stressing, i can now happily say "good morning!"🌻 #happyhumpday . . . . . #morningpost#yogalove#yogajourney#yogawithtoddler#yogaathome#fitat44#fitness#wellness#health#motherhoodthroughinstagram#lifestyle#nothingisordinary#mom_hub#iphoneography
My dear friend @jelenainwonderland tagged me for #stopanddropyoga She always do that when I am in a middle of a moving. 🤣 The truth is, this year I often change apartments, 😂. Interesting thing, when I moved 3 months ago, i started to have unexplainable pain in knee. I couldn't use it at all. For 3 months. Now im back in my old neighborhood and the pain is gone. Still feeling a little bit, but it's a mass improvement. I have no idea how did that happened, I blame 4 huge cellular base station in front of our old apartment 😁☠️😂 #eightanglepose I tag @marin__leko and @antonijasatya
Momma's don't forget about you! You will never be the best you for your babies.. hubby.. loved ones unless you make yourself a priority just as much as that load of laundry in the dryer. . . Yoga was so hard for me at first because it forced me to SLOW down. But I have learned when you just give in.. lean in.. and let go... negativity escapes and it is positivity I embrace! . . .
