Scenes from a postpartum practice. Finding time to practice yoga with a 2-month old baby isn't easy. Before having a baby, it was hard for me to imagine how it could be so difficult to do simple things like eat meals or shower. But alas, free time is precious. Yoga becomes a luxury even while it is more necessary than ever. After 9 months of pregnancy and 6 weeks of postpartum recovery, as well as carrying the baby, nursing, and using the sling, my body has never been this tight and weak. Sometimes I only have time for one or two poses. If I'm lucky, I get in a whole 40 mins or an hour. It's a great reminder that this practice is a gift and to never take it for granted... One day I'll take class and even teach again!
