True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied. — Aadil Palkhivala.
When I started yoga, my main purpose was about the body and stretching it out after lots of cardio and weight training. However, my time spent at the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh, North India 🇮🇳 really opened my mind in to the spiritual and mindful benefits of yoga. It changed my views on yoga and it became my passion and way of life. I find this quote really profound and comforting. I would love you all you all to give yoga a chance and feel the benefits as I do. Its theraputic, graceful, motivational, uplifting and fun!
