I haven't had time it seems to take videos or photos of my practice as it is currently...this is not what it looks like at the moment although before birth I was pretty certain at this point I'd be back to pressing up into scorpions!
In the first days and weeks after birth I held gentle, long holds of bound angle, double pigeon and straddle and breathed some dynamic movements into my neck, shoulders and wrists. The past two weeks I've been building the stability back in my leg muscles with the Bikram standing series as well as mindfully building up my abdominal wall, which is most challenging as it's still soft, but at least it's no longer numb!
I take long walks with Akiva, pushing the stroller, or wrapping him up onto me. I breathe him in and can't believe how big he's getting, how he grows right in front of my eyes! His little clothes seem to be getting little-er every day. Time flies by and I have forgotten myself! I laugh in wonderment of Akiva! How incredible it is to be re-built, re-shaped, reformed inside and out by him, soft belly and all! 📷 @mikefolden and @codyapp
