i am someone super supported by the community aspect of belonging to a studio, so moving away from my yoga community at @growyoga has been THE HARDEST part of settling into our new home. as a new homeowner and now-homeless yogi, i’ve been forced to start a home practice until i can somehow will a baptiste yoga studio into existence around here. and i mean forced, because i have always truly hated the isolation of home practice. but for all of the loneliness and boringness, home practice has given me a little more freedom to explore the limits of what’s possible in my practice (without worrying about kicking the person next to me in the head or looking like an asshole). today’s snow day was another opportunity to explore, and i finally landed pincha mayurasana. for 3 seconds. i guess i could have just posted a picture but where’s the work in that?
