One year ago from today I arrived in India.
From the moment I touched its air, the thrill of the unknown had me captivated, from it's new sounds, new quiet, smells, colors and textures. I'm swaying in my seat as my taxi carves out a third lane, thinking I'm mis-reading hand-painted directions on the back of crooked trucks telling us to honk the horn (or else). Rest was not on the menu after a 21 hour flight, I was trying to taste every second. My natural inclination to find things familiar makes me smile to see Iyengar bakeries, coffee shops open before the city wakes, vegetarian restaurant signs everywhere and hawks overhead. Then there's the obvious hints that you are in the right place at the right time on this planet (photo). After a year of digesting this dreamy experience, I'm going to share everything!
I can't possibly fit my trip into one post, so follow me over the next 60 days as I share pieces of my 2 month journey across the world to find...myself.
