C U L T U R E 🖤. I N S P I R A T I O N
My #inspiration today I came across when I was perusing my IG feed. @thebohemiancowgirls posted this picture and story. I read it and immediately my heart was full.💕When I read stories like this I immediately want to learn more. So off to the Google I went. I found a blog written by a South African photographer, Lavonne Bosman who spent 2 years in Transkei. She wrote that her experience with Ubuntu was best described by Archbishop Tutu as:
"THE ESSENCE OF BEING HUMAN. UBUNTU SPEAKS PARTICULARLY ABOUT THE FACT YOU CAN'T EXIST AS A HUMAN IN ISOLATION. IT SPEAKS ABOUT OUR INTERCONNECTEDNESS ...WE THINK OF OURSELVES FAR TOO FREQUENTLY AS JUST INDIVIDUALS, SEPARATED FROM ONE ANOTHER, WHEREAS YOU ARE CONNECTED AND WHAT YOU DO AFFECTS THE WHOLE WORLD. WHEN YOU DO WELL, IT SPREADS OUT; IT IS FOR THE WHOLE OF HUMANITY "
