*reposting caption from my last post since I ended up deleting it!* "You either get bitter or you get better. It’s that simple. You either take what has been dealt to you and allow it to make you a better person, or you allow it to tear you down. The choice does not belong to fate, it belongs to you." -Josh Shipp
This is particularly true for those who have been bullied. I was bullied severely throughout middle school and highschool and it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me, looking back in retrospect. It was the best thing that happened to me in the sense that it completely shaped how I treat others. We have the power of life and death in our tongues. Knowing how harsh words can wound us made me have the empathy and compassion for others that I do now. It's life experiences like that, that give you the opportunity to become an alchemist. It's up to you what you will allow the pain to manifest into. You can absorb it and become what hurt you, or change it into a heart of gold. Once you've experienced the worst, coming across kind, genuine people is so appreciated!! And because I appreciate it so deeply, it is my purpose to be just that for everyone else. A ray of sunshine. 💛
