Yoga for Stress & Anxiety is designed to assist students in managing and reducing symptoms associated with anxiety and stress. Many elements of yoga are utilized, including physical postures and movement, breath, mantra, meditation, relaxation techniques, and yogic philosophy. Various styles of yoga are practiced, including hatha, kundalini, vinyasa, gentle, yin, and restorative. Students may gain greater self-relaxation and self-calming skills, increased present moment awareness, reduced fight or flight response, restored balance in mind and body, improved nervous system regulation, increased self-compassion and acceptance, mindfulness skills, and a deeper connection to the essential self.
Yoga for Stress & Anxiety meets every Tuesday at 6:00p with Jaime Seelmeyer. Beginners always welcome. $12 drop-in/class packages available.
