If you have been following my account for a while, then you know that one of the things I constantly work on, is creating and maintaining meaningful relationships

I’ve been listening to the love languages by Gary Chapman audiobook again with josh before bed, and last night we got reminded that love is something we do for others and when we are willing to do it at the best of our ability then we must learn to love others the way they like to be loved
.
Our love cup, gets filled with le love we receive from others, specially our partners and family members. Go fill out their cups and teach them how you like to be loved, so they can help you fill yours

Impatience with the Process...

When we keep adhering to a storyline of how we think our lives should turn out, we miss the magic that is happening in the every day moments.
.

Impatience and anger at ourselves and critical, negative self-talk for what SEEM like missed opportunities, missteps, wrong decisions can cause internal paralyzation or stalling. It shrinks our child-like, still developing selves that want to keep on playing and expressing. There are always set-backs and unexpected turns.
.

We often internally berate ourselves for not being enough, doing enough, being brave enough, or taking the right amount of risks but there are really no wrong turns. When we are ready for something, the openings are always there. There is technically no missing something (or someone) that is meant to be, otherwise it would have happened.
We can relax so much more when we meet ourselves in the uncomfortable moment with kindness, being patient with ourselves and the process, like birthing a child, except that child is you, the newest part of you that is emerging.

Ambivalence in relationships....
.
Fear of getting too close can show up as ambivalence in relationships. If we dig a layer deeper, this fear can often be more about potential loss than true ambivalence about your partner or your partner's actual feelings towards you.
.
Still, living inside an ambivalent relationship is very painful on either side. Things may feel smooth and easy for some time and then suddenly insecure, especially if you feel your partner is on the fence.
Living inside this dynamic is exhausting!
.
If you are feeling ambivalent, what's underneath this feeling? Is it tied to a fear of intimacy, being truly seen, fear of loss or are you really grappling with staying inside the relationship?
Do you have a pattern of getting close and then fleeing when things start to feel more committed? .
If your partner is ambivalent, no amount of chasing or games will change this dynamic. Honest dialog about what is occurring in the moment for you, how you are experiencing the relationship or your partner's behavior can help break through for more understanding. It can feel scary, but not as bad as the torture of the hot/cold ambivalent dynamic.

Meditation and yoga can help quiet the mind so you can sort through all of the mixed and powerful emotions and connect with your intuition.

Off to teach my second retreat with the lovely @nikkibelcher @cocolocoresort in tropical Nicaraguan Paradise.

Missing my lovely @jstlawrence, but he has endless mountains to run!! I practice yoga to realize the ONENESS the UNITY, the brother and sisterhood. Fall in love with everything and everyone, everywhere all the time!! This oneness, this union is yoga embodied. Realizing we are all one breaks down barriers of feelings of loneliness, isolation, and depression, between you and yourself and everyone you meet. Extend yourself a little compassion. Give more hugs, tell people you love them, dance, sing, run, jump for joy, cry tears of sadness, express your creativity and authenticity!! Do things that make your feel alive!

We are all in this together, going through the same journey at our own pace.
Plant a tree, hug someone, be love!
