If you don't schedule your day with high priority actions, your day will fill itself with low priority tasks.
Since leaving my job and having my schedule almost be my own now, I have found that even tho I have more time I feel busier than ever 🙈
When I feel busy I feel like I don't have time or space to just be. To do those things I love to do that bring me into the present and fill me with joy. I feel like I constantly have something to do or somewhere to be and it feels a little overwhelming.
Thanks to the incredible suggestion from my coach I have decided to take action and make ME time high priority and schedule it as part of my day just like I would a meeting or a class I am teaching!
My first day of trying this was yesterday and I scheduled an hour around lunch time. I loaded my dog and matt into the car and drove to the beach!
It was completely empty and I was able to flow in the sun to the sound of the waves. I was overwhelmed with gratitude during this time and the feeling stayed with me for the rest of the day. I was more present with the tasks I had for the rest of the day and the classes I was teaching because I had taken time to be in nature and refuel my soul.
I have scheduled ME time every day this week. Time to just be in the moment and choose exactly what I feel like doing maybe yoga, reading solely for enjoyment not necessarily learning, journaling, drawing, colouring, away from technology, in nature or meditating!?
