Today has been a verrrry tough day for me emotionally, I feel like I am getting tested on a lot of levels.😌😌😓

Working on my core strength here for Karandavasana.
If this is a pose you are working on, I would say first be able to hold a solid forearm balance(pinchamayurasana) for at least 20 sec before attempting Karandavasana.
Secondly try to put your legs into lotus first in a headstand and bring the leg down and up a couple of times so your hips are warmed up, and then attempt it in the forearm balance(as the balance is so much tougher of course).
Try coming down only to the point where you can control the movement and go up three times, so you develop more strength and stability in your shoulders and core, before you come down all the way.Oh! And Also try pressing up, into the forearm balance ; even though it's much tougher it will give you so much more strength, control and stability.

🏖WEIGHT LOSS POST! 👙#Instagram, friends—SO many of you have mentioned that I’ve lost weight and my skin looks better. So this post is to give credit where credit is due. I HAVE lost about 15lbs-and on my 5’3 frame, well, that’s pretty noticeable. I feel so much better, younger and just healthier! .

WHATS MY SECRET?? 🔑My friend, @drdebbiebright who’s wedding I attended here in #Mexico, runs a legit weight loss program online called Look Good Naked. It comes with amazingly healthy recipes and guidelines for what is acceptable on the program. It’s only 3 weeks, but by the time I had finished, I had no desire to go back to eating bread, rice, sweets, or chips. Ask my brother-I used to be able to eat a whole bag of “organic” chips in one setting while watching tv. I don’t care if it’s organic or not-if it’s in a bag or box-it probably isn’t too healthy for ya! Mindless tv + mindless eating=an unhappy Dr Jess! 😂

I paired Debbie’s LGN program with my #MicrobiomeMaster, so that I was actively changing my gut bacteria while revamping my dietary choices. Literally, the weight FELL off. I couldn’t even help it. But to be fair, I religiously take my Hormone Master as well. Anytime you are proactively correcting gut bacteria and hormones, you will be able to lose weight MUCH easier. This is the reason MOST people can’t lose weight!! In fact, obese people have been proven to have pathogenic bacteria in their guts (like Firmicutes), which predisposes you to being overweight! Gut bacteria is life! Hormones are the scaffolding to your personality!

Day 9 of the #PropAndProud challenge is #weights smaller one I found was 6lbs so I had to change the little flow I found with weights to boat pose so I can only use 1 of them 😅 sorry! 🐓 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 It’s a good core one you can try. Not too hard but definitely feel the burn after you’re done 🔥

A fairwether gym trip and doing the elliptical for 15 min 2 days a week winded with Gatorade was my idea of fitness . I seriously was not an athlete a day in my life and I thought the teenage body I had I would have forever . After kids I gained weight - I felt horrible about myself . But I did not want to put in time to do any work . Over the last few years I had excessive eating habits - I went from eating too much to sometimes skipping meals and weighing myself . I was so worried about being a size 0 that I had become a perfectionist in my weight . It’s sad but I also think the business does it to you . I think I will always be sensitive about my weight .
On the fitness side I can tell you people ask me how do you do it ? The answer is fitness has to be your life . What you eat , how you carry yourself , fitness has to literally become you . That’s how I got there . It is a commitment . A relationship you start and even on a storm you day where you wake up at lets say 3am and work until 2:30 and even if you are so tired you can barely function but you think if I just get 15-20 min I’ll feel complete . After I left my last gym - I bounced back immediately. I even used my friends gym to work out for awhile . Fitness completes and compliments you .
