Try not to resist the changes
that come your way.
Instead let life live through you.
And do not worry
that your life is turning upside down.
How do you know
that the side you are used to
is better than the one to come?
I think a lot of my anxiety used to stem from fear of change.
I held on so tightly to thoughts, feelings and emotions,
I worried myself sick over the past and the future,
and I was having a panic attacks at least once every month or two.
But anxiety or not,
change continued to happen,
and my body continued to react with panic.
I though there was nothing I could do to stop it.
But through my practice, I learned something that has helped me greatly,
Change is to life as waves are to the sea, constant and never ending.
You can let changes hit you,
wave after wave,
cursing this natural cycle,
or you can use each wave that hits you,
as a chance to learn,
how to sail the boat a bit smoother.
