Another lesson learn in 2016, after spending a day with an orphanage as manager of #NoJokeCongo its not only about #giveback
Sure things thats a good action once in a while but in order to really be helpful to those who have nothing we have to create à bigger picture. Which means more actions to empower them.
Somehow being with them hurt me because I could see their reality and envision their future: young mom as you can see, prostitute, shegey... just to have easy money.
And when I was their, I've been ask by supervisor to teach the girl how to do make up (note: would have been the worst teacher, can't do it for myself)
Regardless my will if I had accept, I was about to create another problem: get those make up so young thief on the way.
I had opportunity to go to school, to have a good life and be good looking every single day and today I'm able to make choices, do whatever I want to do thats why I'm so glad to see people like @noellacoursaris - I'm following for years now - doing amazing job through @malaikadrc. Its not only about giving back but teach them how to be able to get some for themselves one day.
I was happy to read one of those young boy asking me for help because he want so bad to study.
2017 here we are! Let's make every day count...
