My work is my prayer to my purpose.
Maybe this feels true for you already. If so, let yourself intentionally glory in the strength of that truth.
If it doesn’t feel true for you right now, you are always free to open yourself up to invite some aspect of it into your experience. Even when it doesn’t seem possible. Especially then. You can take a moment and consider how it might become the slightest bit MORE true for you. As I struggle right now with some really uncomfortable hiccups in my day job situation, this is bringing me comfort and, perhaps more important even than that, the fortitude to keep on making it true.
If you find yourself floundering a bit with this concept, I encourage you to explore the following truths.
You get to define ALL the elements to this affirmation.
YOU get to say what your work is; this may or may not be the same as your source of employment.
You also get to choose the qualities and characteristics of your prayer; it gets to look like what YOU want it to look like, or at least what you say it looks like.
You get to claim the purpose that resonates with YOU, regardless of what others say it should be, what sounds like a good and proper purpose, or anything else that conflicts with what your own inner wisdom tells you.
And if it doesn’t feel like your inner wisdom is telling you ANYTHING, I urge you to stay patient and open, to let it emerge, to allow it room to breathe. To listen and feel for what lights you up and brings you joy, for what you find yourself losing time in and gently buzzing in rightness and wholeness with.
Whatever you do, please please please, this woman who does not beg is begging you not to give up on it.
