Yellowstone National Park was the first National Park in the United States and it is the park we are spotlighting today for National Park Week. After arriving in West Yellowstone and before our first day in the park, we attended a ranger talk about the super volcano under the park. Let’s just say after about 10 minutes we were all ready to pack up and get out of there, but the Ranger quickly reassured us it would not erupt anytime soon. We knew then that our experience in Yellowstone would be different than any other park we had visited. Geysers, hot springs, mud pots, wildlife and waterfalls are just some of what you will see in Yellowstone. You would think after visiting one geyser basin you had seen them all, but each and every one is different and not to be missed. If you visit Yellowstone National Park you will leave with an appreciation for how amazing and powerful our Earth is.
