After a couple of weeks of Burmese food it was nice to get back to home cooked food. Tur/arhar daal for dinner with pan fried aubergine, boondi raita and, seen at the back, gongura pickle. Gongura is a sour leaf, very popular in south India and used in meat and poultry dishes but also on its own. You can buy the pickle in the uk - Priya is my favourite brand. Well it would be wouldn't it!
