Our Canadian Pacific Gallery flooded with light on a beautiful day 🙌🏻
The walls are aglow with the work of local artist April Lacheur (@yapespaints), whose colourful, whimsical paintings of trees convey not only the beauty of nature, but also our deeply-rooted relationship to it. They pair perfectly with Jim Johnson’s delicately turned wood pieces, which the artist crafts from the tree to the finished product. Together, the works in ‘Our Roots Exposed’ demonstrate that like trees in the forest, we too have roots that help us grow strong as individuals and connect us to our community.
The exhibition is on display until March 22 and is worth carving out the time to come see in person! #PoMoArts
