****Full version can be found on my YouTube Channel: Diana Rein. Where do I begin...I will try not to get all sappy...but I discovered Philip Sayce in November of 2013 while I was in the throes of being completely obsessed with playing lead guitar ( I am still in that phase!! lololol). Anyway, I saw he was playing in LA but I couldn't make the show because my toddler needed me. So I just started consuming videos of his and bought his albums and listened, listened, listened to his amazing guitar playing.
Maybe a year later he had a show in Long Beach and this time, I made plans to go and it was so amazing to see him play up close. And every time I have seen him live since then, it gives me a rush of inspiration that helps me get to the next level. I am so grateful for players of his caliber who continually inspire me. I will always sing his praises because he also happens to be a really nice person on top of being so extremely talented.
I usually play another beautiful instrumental of his called Alchemy often when I practice. Never did I anticipate that the first song I would ever cover of his would be Aberystwyth....but one day while practicing, it just sort of flowed out of me and I let it take me away!
So I hope you enjoy it and if you haven't heard Philip's music yet, here is his website: http://www.philipsayce.com #philipsayce #fender #yamahathr #apogee #garageband
