It's been a while, I know. (Life, man!) When I last posted at the beginning of August, I was heading south on a surprise road trip I had planned for my boyfriend. We spent a long weekend in Virginia drinking bourbon (really), touring Civil War battlefields (ok, those were mostly for me), and drinking so much good wine and eating so much good food all over the Charlottesville area. We drove past this sign on our way to one of the wineries we visited and pulled over so I could take this photo. One week after our time there, the city of Charlottesville became the unfortunate and unwilling setting of a series of absolutely disgusting events. I have to believe that people like the ones who made this sign are still in the majority and that we WILL continue to make progress and make life better and equal for ALL human beings. The alternative is just too much for my heart and mind to consider. Share the love, y'all. Be loud and be present. Let others know you have their backs. Seek out examples of love and inclusion when you travel and do your part to share the same with the places and people you visit.
