To stretch, or not to stretch...that is the question...I am more flexible now than I've ever been, and it's made my workouts so much better!! (Thank you Yoga and X-stretch) I realize that if I want to increase longevity and decrease pain, this needs to be a part of my daily routine. Kudos to all you stretchy people! 😘🙌

This little miracle gel got me through xstretch! I almost sat out again! Gotta stop sitting and skipping out.... ugh lacking discipline and energy. Day 25 - X Stretch - 3:47pm #p90x #p90xround3 #fitspo #recoveryweek Humbled today by #XStretch, pretty obvious I've skipped every (optional) 7th day Sunday for a Rest Day. Not as flexible as I've been, but we pressed play today, learned about ourselves and using it going forward. Can't ask for more than that. Sundays we'll be pressing play from now on.

Yesterday was tough, and I'm rather sore. Working two jobs is a whole new ballgame, but at least its all the same stuff. I think that will make it easier in the long run.
I didn't get as much as I'd hoped to yesterday with my workout, just the first half. My shoulders were so stiff and clicking so much (it really weirds me right the hell out), and I shifted to do pushups and it was like liquid fire in my right SI. Been tender all day, wound up limping most of the evening, and it spread to both SI joints and my left knee and ankle by the time I went to bed. It was also Enbrel day, so maybe today will be better.
Although I'm tired, I am honestly a lot less tired than I expected. Z passed out at 11 last night, and I'm sure I wasn't ten minutes behind; and she actually slept most of the night, so maybe that's why I dont feel so bad.
Got a little #AminoEnergy down, got a lot of things on my mind, and X Stretch is what I need right now. Time to loosen up! Might even try to throw some ab work in if I can get in the floor 😊

If there is one thing that X Stretch shows me more than any other, its the decreased mobility/rotation I have in my spine. I can just barely turn my neck enough for my chin to touch my shoulder (kind of hard to back up a car, so I use my mirrors). If I rotate my trunk, I can sometimes reach my hand to my opposite hip and sometimes I cant get that far. Leaning to the side isn't good, but its better when I lean to the right. All of this because of inflammation and degenerative disk disease. I haven't even hit 30 yet, and I have so much stiffness. Not cool.
But I am hoping that X Stretch will help me loosen up the surrounding muscles and ligaments (which are also impacted by my Spondy) so that I can regain some flexibility. Felt good just to stretch out this morning!

Day 16 - Plyometrics - 3:55am "Did you hear what he said: he'll do his best. That's always enough, man." Picked up some protein powder this week, gonna pick up some preworkout and intraworkout in 2 weeks because #p90x week 4 is a recovery week for #muscleconfusion so it's all #yoga, #plyometrics #coresynergistics #xstretch next week....come to think of it, I could use the intraworkout for those days so maybe I'll go to @gnclivewell next week! Personally, I think Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8) is when you're at your physical peak, you've had a solid month to "clear the garbage" and now your body is primed for #gains, so you shouldn't be undernourished. I could be wrong. Advice? #p90xround3 #fitspo #fitnessjourney

Slept in this morning, because Stretch doesn't require a shower afterwards 😂 Got decent sleep, though I can never really say I wake up rested.
Today is also #Enbrel day! I've had less pain the last couple weeks, which is nice; I think my flare up may be over. This little shot 💉 gives me relief and slows the progression of my spondy. It helps me function. So glad that I finally got a diagnosis after so long; this gives me the energy I need to do these intense workouts. I was supposed to get a new Sharps container shipped to me, but it hasn't arrived and I'm wondering if it actually will or if I'll have to go buy one...
Anyway, time to hit the mat!

Z had a really bad belly ache last night, so no one slept well; consequently, I did not get up super early for Stretch so it will be an after-work thing.
Tonight we start transitioning to her toddler bed. Im not expecting it to be pleasant, but hoping for smooth sailing. I know, I'm laughing too, and dying a little on the inside -_-
The pain I was having last night is mostly gone, some lingering in my SI and knee, but it isn't taking my breath like it was. I really need to invest in several braces once I have money, particularly ones that will keep my knees from hyperextending.
That's all for now! So looking forward to a nice relaxing routine this afternoon :)

So glad tomorrow is stretch; today's pain is a bit too much. Sharp stabs radiating down my left leg, mostly in my SI, knee, and ankle; skin hurts everywhere, even just the pressure of sitting is painful. Just not a great day. And when I hurt, I cant keep my legs still; its like my RLS kicks into overdrive... Definitely going to need the stretch tomorrow rather than anything strenuous.
Had a good #ShouldersAndArms workout this morning, and was able to go up in weight on a couple set, so I'm pleased with that. Added to my observation yesterday about my shrinking belly, and I'm inclined to think its going well 😁
