Sichuan is known for the unforgiving cold of its winters and unmistakable heat from brilliant red peppercorns. Our Chengdu Snow is a celebration of these contrasts - chilli white chocolate mousse, sichuan, goma and freeze-dried mandarin.

We are in love with the Tasmanian Atlantic salmon we are getting at the moment. Incredibly fresh with a fantastic deep colour and buttery flavour, it is perfect for ceviche. Punctuated with native finger lime, bursts of red curry and the crunch of crispy salmon skin. Pair with a glass of Thomas Pico Limoux Chardonnay.

XO’s Splice. The soundtrack to a tropical liaison. Coconut cream, peach schnapps and kaffir lime, fuelled by a healthy ration of spiced rum.

An idea drawn together by some of our favourite things, concocted during our holidays. Vanella stracciatella dressed with XO sauce, bursts of Thompson grape and morsels of Chinese doughnut. Delivering on all fronts of texture, flavour and colour. Now on our 2018 menu.

After a long break filled with friends, family and a lot of food and wine, we are back warming up the woks for Monday 15 January. Looking forward to seeing you again and taking the sting off the post holiday blues.

XO Nasi Goreng. Squid ink fried rice, spanner crab, fluffy egg floss. Giving this stone cold childhood classic the respect it deserves.

Throwing shapes at XO this summer. Salmon ceviche - lime caviar, red curry cream, salmon crisp.

Rising mercury means it's time to get screamin'. Kicking things off with a classic - chrysanthemum soft serve. Sweet, floral and creamy.

Sometimes the simplest things can be the most complex. Shallow fried tofu, kombu soy, candied ginger. Like waxing on and waxing off, but a great deal more enjoyable.

Last night 6 of us headed to Narrabundah for the food and luxury of @xorestaurant 🍽 When we go out to eat we don't get a chance to take a photo of the food, it's too good to wait, especially here. All I can say is that you can tell how much love and brains goes into this food, with a small team in the kitchen and a lot of mouths to feed they never disappoint. Not one negative comment was made with one of the most pickiest critiques you'll ever meet (My 11 year old brother). When you go make sure you just order pretty much the whole menu, don't be shy and open yourself to trying new things, it will change the way you see food. The atmosphere of happy staff and happy customers is what you want to see, and you definitely do here. Thanks for the awesome night. ❤🥂✌🏼

The spring racing carnival has come around quickly this year, but we are definitely not complaining. Once again, we are pleased to host a memorable lunch to celebrate the big race on Tuesday 7 November 2017. Our chefs have developed a special share menu that explores springs fantastic produce over a leisurely afternoon, prior to an in-house screening of the race.
