Me and my view.
I'm not going to lie. I had zero desire to race home after a long day of work, stop at the house, put on my bathing suit, and then race to pick up the kids and hang out at the pool. I know I should want to do things like that but the truth is some (most?) days I don't. Who's making dinner? When will I clean up? Get ready for tomorrow? Etc., etc., etc.
But when I got the text from the 12-year-old asking if we could do it I decide to seize the moment. I knew I wouldn't regret it and I don't. Now I'm relaxing in a pool and they are playing together. Why don't we do this more often?
