One of the big components of Whole30 is your hormones get balanced out. So, I’m currently PMSing and I have ZERO NADA ZILCH cravings. I have no desire to snack or munch on anything. This is huge for me and proof Whole30 truly provides an element of food freedom, just amazing .

Breakfast 6sp - 2 eggs, 3 oz lean Jennie-O ground turkey, spinach, bell pepper, onion (0sp), 1/2 half small avocado (4sp) in 1 tsp coconut oil (2sp)

Lunch 3sp - Ahi tuna steak (0sp), steamed brussel sprouts (0sp), and 1/2 medium sweet potato (3sp...the WW app now says this is 3sp and not 4sp? 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Dinner 8sp - Whole30 compliant chicken fried rice! Cauliflower rice, zucchini, mushrooms, and bell pepper (0sp) with spicy chicken sausage (3sp for 7.5oz) with 4 tbsp coconut aminos. HOWEVER! I forgot to add an egg...ugh! Next time! This was delicious the subbing the coconut aminos for the soy sauce really brings in a nice flavor .

Wow, what a gain!
So glad I went to my meeting tonight and got to discuss what we love about our bodies and changing our perspective on things. A number alone doesn’t define my health. And tonight I remembered that my body is actually pretty amazing! ❤️

I almost didn’t post this. In case you’re keeping track that’s 2 weeks in a row I’ve had a significant gain. I know what the problem is and honestly it’s something out of my control but still...it hurt my feelings. I hate it when I let the number on the scale affect me. You should know that I’ve set a goal for next week and I’ll be achieving it, no excuses.

Tried a new to me ice cream tonight. It was no @halotopcreamery but it was good and affordable. I topped it with 2 tbsp. PB2 (1), 1 tbsp @hersheys (2), and 1 cherry that I’m choosing not to count. I had 1 cup of the ice cream for 5sp. It took every bit of will power and strength I had to not go to Dairy Queen tonight. But...I have a goal for next week and Dairy Queen ain’t helping me reach it. 💪🏼👊🏼🙌🏼

I hear a lot of people say that a Weight Watchers membership is too expensive. Or that they can’t afford a Whole30 grocery haul. Or that convenience trumps the time it takes to make a healthy meal at home. I’ll just give it to you straight: $20 a month for Weight Watchers is not going to break your bank, but your Rx medication for various illnesses that are PREVENTABLE will cost you more than a pretty penny. $80-$100 a week (depending where you shop) on wholesome, fresh, and nutritious food isn’t a luxury, especially if you’re someone who has spent $40 on a food binge IN ADDITION to your normal grocery bill. And if you’re zooming through a drive through or eating out more times a week then cooking because it’s “convenient”, you’re straight up lying to yourself. HEALTH IS NOT HARD. It takes WORK! Just like the relationships in your life, the one with yourself also takes a lot work. But is it worth it to have meaningful relationships in your life? Hell yeah. You’re health is loving commitment and an investment in YOU! You know what’s expensive? Feeding (read: overfeeding) a 266lb body. 🙋🏻‍♀️ True story folks. Don’t ever tell yourself this isn’t possible. But just like all goals in life, you have commit to it and work for it. Self care isn’t selfish, and excuses are toxic. You can do ANYTHING just one step at a time ❤️
