A trip to August (1) Five is worth it just for the Palak Chaat alone. Think of it as the best spinach salad you've ever had in your life: Spinach leaves coated lightly in chickpea flour & fried, served with minced tomato, red onion & cilantro, then topped with yogurt & tamarind. It hits all the notes: Crunchy, cool, creamy, salty, sweet, tangy.
I love the spot for brunch, where it's a lively bunch of city dwellers, large Indian families & mother-daughter dates.
