🎵Now this is a story all about how My life got flipped turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell you how I became this new skinnier version of Mere.🎵 ————————————————————————- In the past week or so I’ve gained a bunch of new followers so I figured why not use #throwbackthursday to tell my story. My journey started in 2012 at a weight of 397lbs ( I’m 5’11). In the first year, I lost 75 lbs strictly by changing my eating habits via @weightwatchers. After that point I started a new and more demanding/stressful job and within the next year I’d gained back about 40 of the lbs I’d lost. Over the next year and a half I lied to myself about following the plan and by January 2015 had gained back all but 20lbs. In 2015 I semi recommitted and re-lost almost all of the weight I’d originally lost. January 2016 I switched to #smartpoints and joined a weight loss challenge at the gym at work. It was for 3 months and it brought out my somewhat ridiculous competitive side. I committed to exercise and truly following the plan. I lost 30 lbs in those 3 months. I used that momentum and drive throughout the rest of the year to lose 90lbs in 2016. 2017 has been tougher with tons of international travel for work but I’ve lost almost 40lbs for a total of 200lbs!!! Weight Watchers has truly given me the tools to succeed. My mottos are #failtoplanplantofail and right the course after getting off track. Truly anyone can do this.
Playing 👩🍳 around with the two ✌🏻ingredient dough a little more! I go through creative 💁🏼♀️ spurts in the kitchen 😂 I love trying new recipes, what works and what doesn’t! Today these little pockets of Cinnamon Sugar Deliciousness work 😍 the dough is tricky and takes some learning! I actually use my Kitchenaid Dough Hook and it’s a life saver!

Today I stuffed a 1 #smartpoint@tumaroswraps with my crockpot chili chicken recipe (0) and 2 tbsp reduced fat shredded cheese (1) for a filling 2 #smartpoint lunch! Recipe for the chicken is on my blog - http://sageandcinnamon.net!
In between basketball🏀games lunch at Subway again. I have a low point dinner planned so I can eat one of my favorite higher points steak and cheese(11sp) subs! I even added shredded mozzarella cheese(1sp) which saved me having to get dressing. I love having this one toasted with the onions and peppers to give it amazing flavor. #12smartpoints
As 2017 is quickly coming to a close, I have a big regret about this year not being better. I should have chosen my health and happiness over things that didn’t deserve my attention. I won’t make that mistake in 2018🖤
I’ve had a weird time trying to find my food groove lately. I’m in this foreign place where I’m happy wth the way I look and feeling good but also overeating the sweets so trying to find a peaceful balance ☺️ the most important change I’m trying to make is eating real food every day. Sometimes I go days where I just eat snacks and feel horrible. here I have one slice of bread (1sp 35 cal) 1 T whipped cream cheese (1sp 25 cal) tomato slices, spinach, honey ham (1sp 60 cal) velveeta (1sp 45 cal) and a slice of bacon (1sp 25 cal) with a side of air fried French fries (3sp 90cal) and a clementine. 8sp and 280 calories for the plate. Not bad at all!
Oatmeal, cinnamon, raspberries, sliced almonds and reduced sugar craisins (these are so good in oatmeal and just a little goes a long way!) ...starting a new week today with healthy stuff and after last week, I’m ready for a reset.
