WWE star Jason Jordan could reportedly be forced to retire aged just 29 due to his neck injury being a “lot worse than” originally thought.
The former Raw tag-team champion, who plays the son of Kurt Angle on the wrestling show, has not been seen on TV since February.
The ace, real name Nathan Everhart, suffering from issues with the grip in his hands and subsequently was pulled from events in January.
Jordan underwent surgery on February 5 on his neck and was expected back in June – but with his absence now at seven months he could be facing some devastating and life-changing news.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider claims there are serious concerns for his in-ring WWE future.
And the company are already planning a potential backstage role for him.
Johnson reported: “I’ve heard there’s no time frame on when Jordan will be returning to the ring, if at all. “It’s bad. Apparently, it was a lot worse than they thought it was going be.” Hopefully Jordan will make a full recovery but WWE have already seen two of it’s biggest stars retire this year.
Paige was forced to stop wrestling due to her own neck issues in April before legend Matt Hardy called time on his distinguished career last week due to growing injury woes.
