Haus cleaned! Pumpkin pie dream bars made! All ready to host my first Thanksgiving (turkey and all!) at #WuHaus 🙋🏼‍♀️🏡 My whole family lives on the east coast (I’m from Connecticut), so we don’t often get to spend the holidays together. It’s hard, but I do always make sure to share the day with some of my amazing friends who also have family in far away places. Thanksgiving (and life in general) is all about what you make it. This year I’m simply grateful to have a warm home and loving people to spend the holidays with. So many people are without those things. If you have the means, please consider donating to non-profit in your area that provides a meal or a night in a shelter to someone that needs it. Share the abundance that we so often take for granted in our everyday lives. 🧡

Haus cleaned! Pumpkin pie dream bars made! All ready to host my first Thanksgiving (turkey and all!) at #WuHaus 🙋🏼‍♀️🏡 My whole family lives on the east coast (I’m from Connecticut), so we don’t often get to spend the holidays together. Looking for a last minute holiday salad recipe? Because this Persimmon Celery Salad with Yuzu Poppyseed Dressing is LIT, and I’m givin’ it to ya right now. 🙌🏻🔥 Made with @chobani Greek Yogurt, this recipe is a fun twist on a typical salad while still being super quick + easy to make, and it’s sure to impress everyone at your table. Enjoy! 💛 #WuHaus #sponsored [Serves 6]
Salad:
4 large fuyu persimmons, sliced into wedges
1 1/3 cup celery (3-4 stalks), thinly sliced
6 cups mixed greens (I used radicchio and purple mustard greens)
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. of extra virgin olive oil
Dressing:
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 Tbsp. yuzu juice (You can use a mix of lemon + orange if you can’t find yuzu)
1/2 tsp. yuzu zest
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions: Toss the greens, persimmons and celery in a large bowl with the olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. In a separate bowl, add all the dressing ingredients to a bowl and whisk until well-combined. Spread 2-3 Tbsp. of dressing on each serving plate. Add the salad on top of the dressing. Top with finishing salt, black pepper and some extra yuzu zest. 💫

Planning an epic Friendsgiving?? Okay, me too! These Sweet Potato Crostini with Smoked Salmon and Chanterelles are 🔝 on my menu list! Made with @chobani Greek Yogurt, these little guys are the perfect appetizer to get the party started! • 3/4 lbs chanterelle mushrooms, sautéed
• Smoked salmon
• Avocado oil
• Flake salt and black pepper, to finish
Yogurt Spread:
• 1 cup yogurt
• ¼ cup dill, finely chopped
• 1/8 cup chives, finely chopped
• Juice of ½ lemon
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Directions: Prevent oven to 400°. Spread sweet potato rounds on a baking sheet and use a paper towel or brush to lightly coat with avocado oil. Bake for about 20 minutes until cooked through but still firm. If you want a more golden finish, broil on high for a couple minutes, flipping half way through. In a bowl, combine all the yogurt spread ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until well-combined. Once sweet potatoes have cooled for a few minutes, spread the yogurt mixture on top of each sweet potato toast. Top with either smoked salmon or sautéed mushrooms. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with dill, chives and/or microgreens.
